January 2011 Aquifer Update

Non-Drought Status
Barton Springs Flow: 63 cfs (61.7 cfs 10-day average; Average is about 53 cfs)
Lovelady: 152.4 ft depth to water (Average is about 153 ft)

October through December turned out to be extremely dry and unfortunately the Climate Prediction Center has issued a "La Nina Advisory" which indicates drier-than-normal conditions for Central Texas through at least this spring. Without significant rains in the Spring of 2011 we may be headed back into drought conditions by the summer.
